What is AVIGA™?

Virco applies a cutting edge approach to bioinformatics, technology, and in-depth therapeutic and scientific knowledge to deliver AVIGA™, a disease-specific electronic health record (EHR) solution for managing, organizing, and analyzing information for patients living with HIV/AIDS or other ambulatory medical conditions. AVIGA™ expands the functionality and analytical capabilities of its predecessor product, LAB TRACKER™ HIV, and is designed with client input to capture and build upon the attributes, characteristics and functions they found most desirable.

AVIGA REPORTER™ is built from the AVIGA™ platform and addresses the unique reporting and research needs of healthcare professionals working on the front lines of HIV and AIDS care. AVIGA REPORTER™ collates data for reporting required by the Ryan White Care Act [1] and other federal, state, and local agencies. This specialized reporting function is designed for compatibility with installed electronic medical record systems other than the full-scale AVIGA™ electronic health record.

  • AVIGA REPORTER™ is a standalone research/reporting function that captures HIV/AIDS-specific information for research, audits and reporting and is compatible with many other health information technology platforms.
  • The full-scale AVIGA™ electronic health record (EHR) is being developed to meet requirements for meaningful use, as prescribed by the HITECH Act.[2]
